Meta Connect 2026
Client: Meta Role: Senior Motion Designer Year: 2026
For Meta Connect 2026, I was a senior motion designer on the Developer State of the Union, Meta’s keynote for the developers building on its XR, wearables and AI platforms. Working on-site at Meta’s Menlo Park headquarters with the post-production team, I animated shots across the AI tools, Phoenix and wearables sections. I also supported the keynote designers and motion team on best practices for rendering and prepping animation for Apple Keynote.
AI Models & Tools
The AI section introduced Meta’s Muse models to developers: the Muse Spark lineup and its release velocity, a top-15 ranking on OpenRouter, the Meta Model API, Muse Code and multi-agent coding, and a hackathon with free API credits, closing on Meta Superintelligence Lab. It ran on its own brand motion system of dark slate, framed type and connecting lines, far beyond simple fades, so every shot meant working within that system’s rules.
Phoenix & VR
Phoenix introduced Meta VR Glasses to developers: intuitive controls, a store built to help apps get discovered, games already on the platform, a developer spotlight and a $1M prize pool to grow the ecosystem. Soft, warm gradients and product-first framing, a deliberate contrast to the dark, technical AI section.
