Keynote Motion Designer
I’m Desmond Du, a freelance keynote motion designer and technical director based in New York. I design and animate graphics for keynote presentations, product launches and live events, and build the systems behind them: toolkits, templates, render specs and pipelines that let a team of artists ship every shot to the same standard.
Selected keynote work

How I work
Brand guidelines to motion systems. From the brand guidelines and storyboards, I turn the look into rules for type, transitions and timing, then develop After Effects templates and toolkits (Essential Graphics and expression rigs) the in-house team can use without breaking the design.
Show-ready deliverables. Every shot is built for the venue: the LED wall’s resolution, safe zones that read from every seat, and a separate livestream version, with naming and specs agreed up front so files drop straight into Keynote or Disguise.
Broadcast-quality playback. I check renders on the actual playback pipeline, from NotchLC and frame rates to Keynote builds, so what plays on show day is what was approved.
Shared render toolkit. The render presets, codec guide and Mac Quick Actions I set up for keynote teams are free on GitHub: Keynote Motion Design Toolkit.
